Osasuna Calls 22 Players for Season Finale Against Getafe
Osasuna (9-6-11, 33 points) fell to Valencia (7-8-11, 29 points), 1-0, at Mestalla on Sunday afternoon. Forward Largie Ramazani converted a second-half penalty kick to secure the victory.
Osasuna began the match defending against the home side and looking to create opportunities. The visitors' first chance came when midfielder Lucas Torró fired from outside the box, but his shot was deflected. A few minutes later, defender Javi Galán delivered a cross, but forward Ante Budimir was unable to connect. As the half ended, forward Víctor Muñoz attempted an acrobatic shot, but it went wide.
In the second half, Osasuna started strong, creating several chances. Budimir went close with a header that sailed over the crossbar. In the 64th minute, the referee awarded a penalty kick after Osasuna goalkeeper Sergio Herrera fouled Valencia forward Umar Sadiq in the box. After the initial attempt was ordered retaken due to defender José Gayá encroaching, Ramazani scored on the second attempt.
Osasuna pressed for an equalizer through crosses and sustained pressure in Valencia's half, but could not find the back of the net.
